Hello,

I want to get all my documentation ready to not have to worry about anything for the interview. I'm concerned because I realized that my birth certificate has an error on it. I don't understand how that's possible in N.Y. My middle name is Daysi and on my bc it's spelled Daisy.

My question is can I just take it to the interview as so or can I take my passport and NY driver's licence? Please help me!!

Thanks in advance.

ps I'm the petitioner and I was born in NY

It shouldn't be a problem. It's unlikely they will ask for your birth certificate during the interview. When you originally sent in the I-129f petition and the G-325a, you completed the background information part on your behalf. If it hasn't triggered an RFE or any other issue, you should be fine. Take your passport instead (assuming that your passport is correct).

It would be wise to get it correct ASAP. Check the link below for the correction form.

Thanks MrTee12!!!! I just don't understand how myself nor my mother ever realized this. I will contact the hospital where I was born tomorrow to see if it was their error and this way I'll get a new correct one for free. If not I will correct it because I just don't want anything to go wrong. My social, drivers licence, and passport have it the correct way. I need my fiance here with me asap.

I'll let you know one way or the other...

Mistakes happen. Don't beat yourself up over it. If it's fixable, fix it. If you have any other questions about this process, let me know.
