My fiancé and I finally broke up after K1 petition is approved. He left me

Now, I want to withdraw the approved petition. I don't know how to withdraw please tell me how

Maybe this is the last question I ask on VJ

I know I want to cry but I'll let my tear go away and myself strong. I wish all people on this journey to reach the final goal I love you guys you were the best

I think the one that can withdraw petition is the petitioner which is your ex-fiance. And I am sorry to hear that. cray5ol.gif

You as the beneficiary, notify the US Consulate you will not be going through with the K1 visa process.

Letter or email to the consular section with your case number, DOB, petitioner name and withdrawal information should be sufficient.

Remember to keep whatever USCIS letters/receipts/documents for references, should you need to go through US immigration process again in the future.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

The petitioner can write a simple letter to USCIS advising them s/he is withdrawing the petition. If you're at the NVC state you write a letter similarly.

Just a straight forward "to whom it may concern" letter with a heading and details of the case/particulars. Then s/he mails the letter in making sure it's traceable and they sign for it.

Best of luck!

My wife had this happen to her before we met. She was the beneficiary and went to the consulate had the visa stamped. Make sure they put without prejudices they will do this on the visa. This will make sure that they will not mistake your were refused. Sorry for your trouble I maybe headed in the same place with my wife. I feel your pain.

As some said, it is for the best that he leaves before you married. He was not mature. Hang in there, trust in God. It took me almost 3 years to find my wonderful woman.

I'm beneficiary please help

There's not much you can do until (and if) the casefile arrives at the US Embassy, IV Unit, in your country.

When (and if) it does -

write a letter telling the IV Unit that you are not seeking any Visa Application, that the relationship between you and the petitioner has ended.

Sure, it may mean you wait 2 to 4 more months, but - wait until the casefile arrives at the US Embassy.

How to know? email the IV Unit or call the DoS Hotline. (# in my profile - but note the number is changing next week)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
