Residents of a tiny North Dakota farming town are fighting back after learning that a white supremacist wants to turn the community into an Aryan enclave.

Craig Cobb has been buying up land in Leith, a town of 16 people, and inviting others who share his views to move there. So far, no one has come.

Still, townsfolk fear he could succeed and are mulling the enforcement of property maintenance ordinances to get him to move. They are even considering turning over control of the community to the county to scuttle his takeover plans.

Mayor Ryan Schock says no decisions have been made by the town, 60 miles southwest of Bismarck.

Cobb says even if his plan doesn't pan out, he's raised awareness of the white supremacist cause.

But he told CBS Bismark, N.D. affiliate KXMB-TV his plans for Leith haven't changed. "No, not at all. In fact, if anything, I've gotten lots and lots of offers to buy lots." He says he owned 12 Leith lots, but isn't sure how many he has left, which signals to him there are lots of people out there who think like he does.

Don't understand why it is wrong for him to buy land and practice his right to live as he chooses as long as he breaks no laws. I would say the same for any group including groups I openly oppose

However some are trying to use Gov't to harass and even block him from living as he wishes.

I guess all those Civil Rights Bills are limited to protecting the rights of "some groups."

Sports team-based hate is generally good-natured hate, so I'm all for that.

How come all these Hitler-loving skinheads have no idea what an Aryan really is, or where the word comes from? Did they know the Fuhrer was a coward, preferring to die a painless death in a bunker with his underage girlfriend (she was 17 when they met), rather than face the Allies?
