Nah, too populist. no0pb.gif

It's more interesting to speculate openly, whilst doing one's best not to flat-out identify the miscreant responsible and stay within the TOS. wink.png

Hmm, who would the most likely candidates be? Someone from the P&R forum or whatever it's called now? There aren't many who can pull off the sock puppet routine for very long.

1) If someone was parked in front of my house, I couldn't possibly care less.

2) The dogs would be an issue however. The way I'd probably solve that is use the barking as a trigger to something they wouldn't like in return, such as a blaring radio pointed directly at their window or something to that effect. The hag would figure it out soon enough.

1) & you are absolutely free to care less. Us? 1 reason we chose this neighborhood is rear entry garages. Hag has made the street her parking lot. We told her...park in front of your house = we don't care. Park in front of our house = we don't like it. IOO - Live & let us live = neighborly etiquette.

2) The noise would disturb our neighbors = We're not gonna do that. Not every1 on our street has an issue with the Dogs. I don't now why & it's not my biz. We have an issue & we will deal with it.

I was bothered when I realized stink skunk was so strong it could be smelt several houses away (at first). We made our prob our neighbors prob. Now - the smell is only detectable when very near the target area = our yard. Don't like the smell? Avoid our yard. I made a point to discuss this with our immediate neighbors - across the street 4 homes wide - & thus far...they're all okay with it coz they want the street parking to stop too...1 prob = I am definitely running a risk of exposing deliberate stinking & that would entitle FPD to instruct me to clean it up. I'm hoping it I can stink it up just long enough to retrain Hag. If FPD come ask questions. I won't lie & I will comply.

Who do we have with a Vietnamese connection?

Or maybe that's a fiendishly cunning red herring?

You could try this:

Creating a poppet, or small human figurine, to represent your neighbor and throwing it into a river or taking it to a far away town and leaving it there will also help banish your unwanted neighbor.

I would start parking all my vehicles in front of her house for a few weeks so maybe she would clue in to how inconsiderate it is, but from how you've described her, I doubt that would work.

is it against the HOA 'rules' to have a pile of dirt put in front of yer house? if not - suggest 1 cubic yard right at the border on your side. on the street. then, over 3 weeks, bring in a shovel-full, daily.

That is a very good possibility = We have 2 flower beds and a garden we want to raise up a bit (when frost hits). Additionally...The yard needs some leveling. I predict a dirt pile will be regardless.

We had already contemplated building a staked fence laced with razor wire but decided the risk too much.

I dunno - I always got along with the immediate neighbors. I do note that over the past 5 years though, I'm isolated on a largish tract of land and the neighbors never 'give me' problems. I made new friends when my terrier mix ran off, though - she was great in finding the holes in the fence, but also great at killing the critters on the property...

smallest was 1 acre in town, then largest was 4.5 acres in town. I not have the large tracts o land anymore, so I'm not isolated as before. I pray I not have your problems with my new neighbors down in Houston - but I've met them in the past - they seem rather stable wink.png

IMO, a simple pile o dirt on the street, strategically dumped 'at the border' should keep cars out of the front o your house.

You'd need help, if the street is rough, and you'd need to be sly, but... a floor jack. Jack up the drive wheels and push the cars back onto her side late at night.

Messy, but not too malicious... vaseline on wiper blades.

Does her front door have a screen door? If so, catch an alley cat and put it between the doors, then ring the doorbell and run like hell. Alley cat + dogs = fun times.

Might not work too well, given the neighborhood, but... Drop off a bunch of flyers at a biker bar stating that there is going to be a big party at the house. Make sure to include that it's okay to park the bikes on the lawn. Also put in that there will be free Buck Knives to the first 100 to arrive.

Pay cash to have 5 yards of gravel delivered on her driveway while she is out. I mean, she's not using it, right?

Call every carpet cleaning and pest removal service in the area. Tell them you need an estimate ASAP and to come out. Give your neighbors address.

Duct tape, a nice size prawn, and a wheel well.

Fix-a-flat in a parked tire.

Not as easy today with mag wheels, but a rock in a hubcab is annoying. Especially when it happens in a different wheel each week.
