keywords 'NVC Expedite'

then click on 'display as posts'

then read.

Not on a PC? Then get on a PC, use the advanced search tool, clickable in the upper right corner.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

12 is for the I-864, not the DS-230.

If you are shipping 12 with the DS-230, ask that it be added to the I-864 via written cover letter.

Thank you very much Darnell, appreciate your response. I have already submitted I-864 and they are in the process of reviewing it. I had included employment letter on i-864 form.

Thank you

Just had my I-130 petition approved at USCIS 2 days ago, i have everything needed to send off to NVC, have had it ready for weeks. realistically, could i be in the US for Christmas ?

This is heavily dependent on when your case gets to NVC. Some people's cases arrive in a reasonable time (within a few weeks). Then there's the unfortunate where they have to wait months. As long as you're not in the latter camp, yes, it could be possible to be here for Christmas. This, of course, also depends on how fast you pay bills, submit forms, and send packages (and if there's no checklists). Not to mention the time frame from case complete to interview date (which I think is around 2 months for the UK), plus if you pass the interview. But, realistically, yes it's possible yes.gif

Thanks, we have everything needed, we are really pro active and will have things to send and pay the very next if not the same day they are needed requested. i was going to go to the US in 2 weeks time for 10 weeks over Christmas and new year and then come back but didnt anticipate the NOA2 till the new year!,need to look at things i guess.

Sounds like you're very prepared good.gif I give you 5 star_smile.gif

You probably won't have a case number in 2 weeks, so if you still want to visit, that's fine. But maybe shorten the visit to just a few weeks (and bring all your IV paperwork just in case). Or just wait it out since you're near the end now.

Maybe hold out for now and if your interview ends up not being before Christmas, then just schedule a trip for the holidays!

According to NVC's site for Jordan (http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=8983#docs) on marriage certificates:

"Available. Obtainable from the Sharia Courts for Moslems and the churches for Christians. No civil marriage is performed in Jordan and no civil marriage certificate is acceptable."

Is that where you got yours, the one you sent to NVC?

I e-mailed the last document the NVC requested (the sharia marriage certificate) on 9-8-13. On 9/9/13 a supervisor (That was great from him to call because I was not expecting that call) from the NVC called me and explained to me that the Civil Certificate was unacceptable and promised to speed up the review for the last document I sent. On 9/13 I received an e-amil from them telling me that it is under review. Do you think it will take the full 30 business days as we told me initially or it will be shorter as he told me. And if the case is completed this month when I should expect my spouse interview in Amman. Thanks

Is it under supervisor review or regular review? If a supervisor is going to review it, it should be faster. Have you called up since 9/13 to see what the status is?

As for time frames for interview, YOU have to do the research (as it varies by country). Start here for Jordan: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op66=All&op7=Jordan&dfile=No&adv=
