You should definitely write down your travel plans.

I said I would be out of the country between Oct 8-10 and they gave me an interview before. Maybe it's a coincidence or maybe they read my cover letter. You should let them know, just in case.

Hi All,

She wont be here for the interview so am trying to prepare all the documents

I see as required:

My passport

Affadavit and associated documents :

1.Tax returns

Do I need to provide any of my UK assets even though they are not being used as part of the application?

Hi,

Yes you can put the UK assets in the affidavit of support if you wish to do so. If you have a look at the affidavit of support, in the last parts, there is a section called "Assets of the principal sponsored immigrant" you can fill that part in if you wish to do so.

If you do wish to add them, you need to provide bank statements and other supporting documents.

Hi All,

When I login to CEAC it says I am ready for my interview. I presume that means all my DS260 and Medical details have been recieved directly.

I am just wondering how to track this final step in the process, especially because I sent in my DS260 ~3 weeks ago but only just my DS2001 as we were waiting on some documents from the US.

How long before I cna chase them about the interview and whats the best method!

Awaiting Interview

Hi,

The status update will always say ready, even if your forms have not yet been logged into the system. Mine said "Ready" all along but when I called DoS they told me they were waiting for my forms too be logged.

I would call DoS to make sure that everything has been logged and whether or not you've been assigned an interview yet, or not. Let us know what they say and we will be able to advise on the next steps.

Hi,

I have justed checked my CEAC and see a status update for 02/10/2013.

My documents were received yesterday so I presume this means they have already been logged ?

How long roughly do they take to notify of the interview from this stage?

Thanks

Anand

Hi,

You can already call DoS to see if you might have an interview date assigned. In rare cases, the interview date is given on the day of the forms being logged. This doesn't usually happen but it might.

If not, you usually have to wait about 10 days - 2 weeks to get an interview assigned.

Let us know!
