Hi to all,

i applied first for USA business visa in 2010 and refused for unknown reason, then i got married to USC wife about 14 months ago and few days back i apply again for tourist visa to come usa for my first child, as wife wanted baby in america as she is living with me in pakistan and we dont yet decide to apply for immigration. but the visa officer denied me a tourist visa stating that i fall in the category of immigrant. now we are desperate that father of a child i cant visit with my wife and then return.

Now we have left no option and we decided that we are filing CR1 application so atleast in future i have to accompany my family, Now when we look in the detail they ask USC must file affidavit of support while my wife after her school get married and moved at my home, she has no job and never file tax retrun. Ok then we look for co sponsor but i am afraid her father has not enough income to co sponsor with her. i can tranfer fund to my wife account in USA bank so that she can prove that we can have a good start up life there. so sum it all here it is

1) is my previous usa visa denial affect my immigration application

2) can we use DCF facility at islamabad consulate.

3) can i contribute money in my wife account so she can sponsor me.

Thank u all for ur time and support

Salaam Brother,

Firstly, I wish you luck on this journey you're about to begin. I hope it will end well.

1) I doubt that the denial will have any effect on your visa. You tried and now you know the answer.

2) There is no DCF in Pakistan. It is only available in select countries with USCIS offices.

3) If you have enough money to put in your wife's account, then you could and it would suffice. But typically you need 5 times the poverty threshold if you're going to use cash. Your household is two right now, but it will soon be three. With two, you would need somewhere near $100, 000. This is normally hard to meet in this way. I would suggest your wife search deep in her network to find someone to help you with this task.

If there is a will then there is a way. I wish you luck and blessings in this journey.

Also keep in mind that to get a visa, your wife must show that she intends to live in the USA long term- the spousal immigration visa, CR-1, is to immigrate, not visit.

A joint sponsor is the only other option. Someone who is willing to sign a completed I-864 for you that meets or exceeds the poverty guidelines.
