20 days passed but No packet 3 yet.

Hi all,

I haven't got packet 3 yet and nor I know my New Delhi case number. I called them many times and on many numbers they have recorded messages or computerised messages.

My fiance dont have time to call US helpline number he is bit busy all the time.

1.Should I send them email to get packet 3 in email and send them filled docs in mail?

2.Or Should I wait for packet 3 to arrive?

3. Or should I download packet 3 and after fillng send the same to New Delhi embassy? I dont have my New Delhi case number.

4. How much time does it takes fo packet 3 to arrive at beneficiary resid. Aftet being sent ffrom NVC ?

You all have been a great help so far. So plz do help me again. Thanx all.

Hi,i got NOA2 on July 24..

1.Should I send them email to get packet 3 in email and send them filled docs in mail?=> No

2.Or Should I wait for packet 3 to arrive? => yes

3. Or should I download packet 3 and after fillng send the same to New Delhi embassy? I dont have my New Delhi case number. => You can download the form ds 230. ds 156, ds 156 k. but you need wait the packet 3 for medical exam

4. How much time does it takes fo packet 3 to arrive at beneficiary resid. Aftet being sent ffrom NVC ?=> my friend got packet 3 in 3 weeks, and me until now not receive yet the packet 3, but yesterday the USEM send email to my fiance ask my home address, email address, and phone number, its should be near time usem send me packet 3..

you can call nvc after 2 week noa2 to ask your case number and check it on web www.ceac.state.gov ,on this web, you can see your case progress :)

hi, i got noa2 on july 24,but until now still no packet 3 yet, but yesterday US embassy in jakarta.indonesia sent email to my fiance and ask my home address, my email address and should be they will send packet 3 soon my email.

and my friend got packet 3 in 3 weeks later after noa2.

your fiance can call the nvc to ask your case number, thats what my fiance do after 2 weeks noa2, he call the nvc and they give us our case number..

I think I re breed you from the may group when you got approved.

Anyway I have been approved too and this is my experiance of NVC. I got approved 29th July. Got my file sent to NVC on the 16th August. Got my case number from dos on the 19th of August. My case left NVC on the 21st of August in transit to my consulate London. My case arrived on the 28th of August in London. My status changed on the CEAC website to ready for interview. I did not get packet 3 yet in the post what I did was download and send DS-2001, DS-230, DS-156 two copies, DS- 156k, DS-157 two copies, with a cover letter stating my case number , my name, the date of my medical which is next week on the 5th of September, date of my up comeing wedding and my email address, I started the letter off with Dear Sir/Madam I am writeing to inform you that I am now ready for my interview for the k1 visa. Then added all the above info to let them know what I attached to the letter.

You should call Dos the holding time is less than NVC.

The Dos number is 202 663 1225 when you get to the automated options press 1 then press 0. Make sure you have your EAC number ready to give them, they may also ask the name of petitioner and beneficiary.

The NVC number is 603 334 0700

Once you get your case number you can click on this link for the ceac site to track your file https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

08/16/2013 file sent to NVC

08/19/2013 Called DOS told NVC received file case number given.

08/21/2013 file in transit to London embassy as stated on CEAC website also spoke to DOS to confirm

08/28/2013 file ready according to CEAC website

08/30/2013 packet 3 sent with DS-2001

O9/05/2015 medical appointment

09/06/2013 packet 3 arrived in the mail.

09/10/2013 CEAC update medical result received by embassy

10/04/2013 CEAC update dos says waiting to give interview date

10/11/2013 packet 4 interview letter arrived

10/22/2013 interview at London embassy

10/22/2013 Approved the visa

10/29/2013 visa delivered

12/02/2013 POE In Atlanta Georgia

AOS

1/25/2014 AOS forms mailed

1/27/2014 arrived at PO Box Chicago lock box waiting to be picked up

1/27/2014 (day1)AOS received by USCIS according to USPS online mail tracker signed for by R MERCADO

2/2/2014. (day7) text message and email from USCIS for acceptance of all forms.

1/31/2014 I-485 accepted receipt number and hard copy has been sent. Processed at National Benefits Centre.

1/28/2014 I-131 application for travel documents in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent

1/28/2014 I-765 application for employment authorization in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent.

2/7/2014 (day11) noa1 hard copy arrived in the mail for I-485 I-131 I-765

2/14/2014 (day18) biometric appt letter arrived in the mail. Appt schedualled for 2/26/2014 11.00am.

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm
