Yep, quite possible. We were in the same boat for 10 days. Take a breath, and chill....that is all that you can do.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

I would be much happier if my case was in AP at NVC rather than be stuck at TSC for six weeks. At least you get answers at NVC. TSC s a darn black hole.

That's true. I know how it is to be stuck at TSC! I just love to call USCIS and they are always reading me the same thing I can read by myself online in their page. And then, when you ask for a Tier2 they either play you saying that there is no such thing as a tier2 or they say that they can not transfer at this moment blah blah blah... I was so happy when they send me that emial/text that they had approved my petition, but then I never got the letter in the mail, and then almost 3 weeks later they sent it over to NVC but took one more week to get there... and I saw people that got there the same day sent out to the embassy and mine a week later still says at NVC and when I call they tell me is in administrative processing and there is no time- frame of when this could be done... what if it is 2 months... I can't do anything for that and that is exactly what frustrates me more. I feel like I can't do anything! Helpless and hopeless

you sure your file is at NVC loran and not NRC. The problem is the transfers files were sent to NRC instead of NVC now they are having to go re- route them out of storage to send to NVC. This all just cos tsc is not too familiar with the procedure. Did they tell you it's with them and that you have gone in to AP? Or they stalling cos of they still trying to find the files in storage?

1/31/2014 I-485 accepted receipt number and hard copy has been sent. Processed at National Benefits Centre.

1/28/2014 I-131 application for travel documents in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent

1/28/2014 I-765 application for employment authorization in initial review receipt number given and hard copy has been sent.

2/7/2014 (day11) noa1 hard copy arrived in the mail for I-485 I-131 I-765

2/14/2014 (day18) biometric appt letter arrived in the mail. Appt schedualled for 2/26/2014 11.00am.

2/18/2014 (day 22) biometrics successful walkin.

4/01/2014 faxed expedite supporting documents to number on letter sent to me. Waiting waiting waiting

4/03/2014 (68 days) EAD and AP approved text message sent status post decision. Hooray !!!

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

When I call DOS they tell me is at NVC in administrative processing also. We will see... someone told me it takes from 2 to 4 weeks to finish AP over there, but when I call NVC they are clueless. SMH

They don't seem to be sure of the info they are giving you loran. You had better keep calling them to check how the case is going.

Don't worry about AP at NVC. I too applied for K1 and while at NVC was placed in AP. I had emailed them once I got NOA2 with my fiance's new address and I believe this put our file in a different queue (i.e AP). When I called NVC during this time, one rep told me they were waiting for the JAmaica box to fill up before sending it out. about 2 days letter it was shipped to the embassy. Its ok. Nothing out of the ordinary other than just causing you to wait more. Use the time to prepare, gather the required interview documents, and learn the process for setting up your interview date. I have heard DR can be rather difficult. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

I am in the exact same position. We received NOA2 on July 29, and now NVC has had the case for at least 2.5 weeks. I have the case number. When I look up on the CEAC website tracker it says "At NVC". When I call NVC they tell me they are processing it, and it should go out soon. I ask them if they have any issues, or need any more documents from me and they tell me no. Everyone else's files seem to leave NVC within a few days to a week. This is really not only frustrating but also nervewracking.

I am at a loss, should I do anything else, or just sit here and wait and check in everyday which doesnt really seem to be accomplishing anything?

Well, I guess we are really in the same boat!

I called again today... the same I do every day, but their answer never changes. "Your file is under administrative processing and it could leave at any time. K1 Visas are usually sent out quick.. blah blah blah...and that since visas are always available for these cases that is why we can't give an approximation of when the file could be sent, but it could be any moment"

I asked them if there is like an internal system in which they process this date and they are done and continue with the rest, but they told me no. And that it has nothing to do with priority date or anything...

I don't know what else I could do... I have e-mailed them, but no answer after 2 weeks.

I call them on a daily basis... I always get the same thing.

I check the status online... still says at NVC

And in addition to that the NOA2 issue is driving me crazy.... Now they want me to wait 15 more days.

I am fed up!
