If I am not mistaken according to the embassy and uscis website a spousal visa can take 6 months - 1 year. But they say that the California Center takes short time to process these days, if that is true you can possibly wait short time. But as what they always say, it will be a case to case basis.

I-130s are no longer adjudicated at service centers. They started transferring cases to Local Offices in August of last year. However, since May (ish?) of this year cases are being forwarded to the National Benefits Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Everyone is hoping this new center will be up and running by the end of September . Hopefully this will mean super speedy approvals! smile.png

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.

So when you guys filled out the I-130 form, did you put her maiden name as her middle name?

She did use her maiden name as her middle name and also kept her previous middle name which means her first name is two words now and then her maiden name and lastly her married name. I told her that was not the way it is done here in the US but that is what she wanted. It can be a cause of confusion but you have a right to your name.
