Goodmorning everyone,

We want to submit our packet 3 today to the Messenger service in Haiti. I just want to make sure we are suppose to be submitting copies and not originals of the following...

1. Police report (copy or original)

2. Sorge Bank Receipt (copy or original)

3. Birth Certificate (copy or original)

Final Question: How many pictures do we send with the package is it 2 or 3?

Yes. But the three things on your list: police report, receipt, and extract of archives must be the originals or they will request it. Them along with the forms and the letter of intent are the only required originals. And of course the sealed medical report. Good luck!!

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

Thanks! And I see everywhere on this site that originals are needed. I thought you weren't supposed to submit the original birth certificate. What if it gets lost? I was told only copies of that particular document.

For Haiti, the original Extract is required. If you do not submit it with your packet 3, it will delay your process...Make lots of copies before submitting it and your original will be returned after the interview...

Hello guys!

In my packet 3 they do not say to translate birth certificate, may be things have changed. They say birth certificate + one copy.

About certicicat police they say: if you have been convicted of a crime or other offense obtain a certified court record covering each offense. I do not know if i am wrong but they do not ask for police certificate and translate the birth certificate.

Please guys some body helps me with this cause i am confused
