affidavits from friends witnessing our relationship are necessary?

Hi guys, did anyone send the affidavits from their friends stating that you 2 are in the relationship and they know it?

are these affidavits necessary?

please any one whose case got approved write your input

Not required and not necessary. For the I-129F petition, you need proof of meeting face-to-face with the 2 years prior to filing. Copies of passport stamps, boarding passes, train tickets, hotel receipts, ATM receipts, bank/credit statements showing use while visiting in the other country, and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years.

I don't think it's a requirement, but it wouldn't hurt. When we filed earlier this year, my husband wrote a short letter explaining how we met and describing the trips we took to see each other. At the end he included the names of 3 friends and 1 family member with their contacts, in case they wanted to talk to somebody and check. It all went pretty smoothly though, and they didn't called anybody.
