You are right Billyk. We'll see! Ii hope they will give us our case number before it gets eight weeks. Btw when was ur NOA2?

My NOA2 was on August 8th and here I am. The excitement of getting approved fast already over. I wish I could offer them to pick the file and hand deliver to NVC.

Hello guys! My wife called DOS today, the lady told her they don't have our petition but advices her to call DHS & to ask for tacking our petition. Then she called DHS, then they forwarded her call to USCIS officer( the officer was very kind & helpful), she told her to wait online and then connected her with the responsible department. After 41 mins on hold, another officer came & told her our case is still at USCIS(it's not shipped yet). Finally the officer told her they will ship our case and NVC will contact us on 17th of October. Very sad! It's been already 7 weeks since NOA2.

Hi Barich,

Our NOA2 approval date was August 15th and our petition has not received in NVC yet.

What is the DHS phone number that your wife called? Did the officer actually assure your wife that USCIS will definitely send your petition to NVC?

The reason I asked, a month ago, a Tier2 operator at USCIS assured me that they were going to expedite (received a letter from USCIS stated this) the shipment for our petition and should wait for two weeks, but nothing happened since.

Hello! I also got my case # and IIN from NVC.

Good for you! smile.png Our case was received by NVC last September 26 and my mom called them yesterday to inquire about our case number and IIN. According to the Tier 2 operator, we should wait for about 3 months. I was like, what??? shocked.gif As far as I've read here, getting a case number and IIN does not usually take that long. Guess we should call them every other day.

Don't worry even if you turned 21 you got a lot of extensions( get the length of time from your pd to your approval of petition at uscis. My brother's pd is march 16, 2012, approved last June 23, 2013and he turned 21 last month. We are fine because according to child status protection act CSPA,he got about 15 months extra when he reached 21. So you'll be just fine if your timeline is correct:)

That's a relief! What's his status now? I have 16 months to finish everything. Did you guys have an attorney to assist you? I'm still worried about CSPA's "seek to acquire" phrase since it is vague. I read that it varies from getting an attorney to submitting or finishing DS-260.

We are still at NVC. Waiting for our ds 261 to get accepted. We already paid the aos fee and submitted the AOS papers and documents. Just waiting for the ds261 to be accepted so the iv fee will be generated and then be paid. We are hoping we will be able to finish this before the month of October ends or even November and if the visa bulletin will not retrogress before our priority date, we might get an interview by December or January.

We don't have any attorney and we just did this process by ourselves:)

Wow! Good luck to all of you! :) Getting an attorney for us is also not option because his PF is way expensive. I know this sounds silly but I am also hoping to finish everything by January so I can go before the first quarter of 2014 ends. ^^,) I've been reading and following F2A timelines here in VJ and it seems that the average time from cases received by NVC until issuance of visas is 3-5 months.
