Hello Folks,

I am petitioner. Recently I have moved to new address while i am filling ds-261 and now my case is processing and next step i will fill out the i-864. So Do i need to notify for USCIS or NVC about changing of address? Because i saw in USCIS website. They have a form i-865 which allow notify to USCIS about changing of address.

Finally... my mom and brother got an email yesterday with documents to proceed with Form DS-261 and the affidavit of support processing fee.

it will take 2 weeks or might b less then that 4 next step.but u will have 2 wait longer may b around 5-6 weeks for the completion of ur case from nvc.

hey guys can anyone tell me wat if ur case has been compleleted by NVC and one is waiting for interview& medical but date retrogress.my case is on final statges and hopefully by 1st week of march my case will b completed by NVC since i have mailed all the required civil documents and paid fees.Please help me out since mexcio had retrogressed and mine country is india which is still on sep 8 2013. thanks in advance

We are worried about that too. We started to research and we found that the PD has to be current until the interview approval, otherwise the visa will not be issued and you have to wait until the PD becomes current again :(

thanksbuddy but i saw that on travel.state.gov website there will b no forward movement for f2a and no retrogression for next few months i m just waiting for my case completion now its in the last stage

When calling earlier this month, the NVC used to say that a case # would be issued 20 business days not including days the office was closed due to inclement weather and holidays after receiving cases from the USCIS.

This week, as 20 business days have already passed, they have started to say a case number would be issued between 20 and 30 business days.

Looks like we're in for another wait.

I called NVC and they told me they have received my case on April 18 but case number is not assigned yet. How long does it take to get case number? Should I send them email now to enroll for email communications..will it be accepted since at least my case is now in their system although without case # yet?

Same exact thing here.

I got my NOA2 stating that it was sent out to NVC on 4/18/14. I've been calling once a week since, and usually got the statement that the case wouldn't be received until 4-5 weeks after being sent. (I tried anyway earlier to try my luck, and since I saw other people have gotten a case # a lot earlier than 4 weeks).

Today I got through again to NVC, they said they received my case on May 7, but it will be another 30 business days to get the case #. (almost word for ward as Jhez said)
