My case took almost the entire 8 weeks to get the case number. My petition was approved on Nov 20th and NVC received it on Dec 18th. I just got the case number today.

Oh congrats. :) Does is really matter if the petitionare or the benificiary keep on calling or emailing NVC? Does is make any change?

Yes they just scanned in my case and issued case number but no INN yet so i can't proceed further yet

Hi uhmm. I would like to ask. After case number has been issued how do we get the INN? I thought thet will issue the case number and INN at once. Im a bit confused sorry. Hope you could help me.

probably at the same time but i got it with one day difference by calling them

July 11, 2013 - NOA 1

September 12, 2013 - Transfer to Nebraska

September 20, 2013 - Case touched

November 14, 2013 - NOA 2

Case shipped to DOS - November 19, 2013

NVC Stage

December 11, 2013 - NVC received my case

December 30, 2013 - NVC case number issued

January 2, 2013 - NVC issued invoice number

January 13, 2013 - DS261 filled out

January 15, 2013 - AOS invoice received and paid

January 17, 2013 - AOS package sent

January 21, 2014 - Fed ex delivered package (NVC confirmed receipt on 22nd)

January 21, 2014 - IV fee invoice received and paid

January 22, 2014 - IV documents sent (payment in process but cleared from bank)

January 23, 2014 - submitted DS260 form, iv documents delivered per fedex (24th per NVC)

February 12, 2014 - received fake checklist for IV package

February 21, 2014 - Case completed (by phone)

April 2, 2014 - Called and got interview date May 13, 2014

May 13, 2014 - Counsel needed some time to to review docs

May 27, 2014 - Interview round two and visa approved

June 2, 2014 - Visa pick up date

When they gave your case number, ask also the IIN. Thats what my husband did.

PD oct 2.

i got approved on Dec 9 but still don't get anything from NVC yet.

My husband has been calling them 2-3 times a week just to find out the movement of our case.

Everytime we call them we will always get different answers.

For Example, in the beginning they said that they need more weeks to determine wether i have to do my interview in Indonesia or in Africa (I am an Indonesian but got married in West Africa). Another time one lady said that 'we have not receive your package yet from USCIS', and another one said that we have to wait till at least 8 weeks to get our case # and IIN n suggested us to do NOT call them anymore until we passed 8 weeks.

Yesterday we got another answer that our PD is NOT current YET and it will be current on February and will schedule my interview on March.

so confusing. So, at this point the best thing to do is just wishing for the best and keep patient.

Hello everyone!

We are still waiting for our case number from the NVC, we are hoping to get it in a couple of weeks. We have some questions about the I-864. I do have 2010-2012 Tax Returns that I have e-filed and W-2's but have not begun the 2013 Tax Return as I am waiting for my wife's social security number when filing later this year (with an extension).

Will the NVC ask for the 2013 tax return this early in the year prior to the April Tax Return cut off date? I do have my W-2 2013 and there are no issues getting a company letter from my employer / pay stubs to prove my income in 2013.

Thanks in advance for any information!

what is this IIN????? I got only my case number from nvc,my pd is 10.25.2013

IIN stands for Invoice Identification Number. You'll need it to log in on ceac.state.gov when you're ready to submit forms and fees.

10/06/2007 - Met

07/14/2010 - Tiger left for the US

04/27/2012 - Tiger came visiting

10/13/2012 - Visited Tiger in Chicago

09/19/2013 - My second visit to Chicago

10/04/2013 - Got married in Mt.Pleasant, IA

05/18/2014 - Tiger came visiting again (YAY!!!)
