My husband called NVC. They are telling to wait for 7 weeks! What a mess?

Hasn't it already been 7 weeks for you?.

Is NVC able to tell you whether they received the file.

If file has not reached NVC then chances are USCIS still has the file for some reason. There were cases that I read somewhere in the other forum that USCIS accidently shipped the file to local office instead of NVC.

Would suggest calling NVC and if file is not there then calling USCIS and speaking to a supervisor and asking for information as to when and where it was sent.

How about DS-261? Is it supposed to be in there or is it accessible elsewhere?

How long does it usually take to get it generated since I notice from people's timeline that they submitted their DS-261 at the same day as when they got their case number?

Once you also have your ID invoice number, you may complete and submit the ds-261 agent of choice.

I have the Invoice Identification number as well, but I do not see DS-261 form in the ceac website after I login.

There are two links that I can logon to, it appears they are used for different purposes?

DS-261 form is an online form to tell NVC if the petitioner/attorney wants to act as the beneficiary agent. This form replaces the DS-3032 paper based form starting from Sept 1st, 2013.

DS-260 (online based form) replaces the DS-230 (paper based form).

If you are not familiar with the DS-230 form, you might want to look at the VisaJourney wiki page as far as the requirements and download the DS-230 form from USCIS website to get familiar yourself.

From what I understand, the DS-260 online form is similar to the DS-230, I don't know yet as I have NOT filled it up myself, smile.png.

In I-864 we have to include our income details at 3 different places. One is My Current individual annual income (Part 6, 5th point) and other one is where we have to include last year's tax year and tax income - Sponsor's Income and Employment (Part 6, 13a/13b/13c) Do my amount should be same for Current individual and last years tax (13a,1) ?

Part 6. 5th point - you need to fill your current income whatever you are making now.

13a - Tax income you filed with IRS for the year 2012

13b - Tax income you filed with IRS for the year 2011

13c - Tax income you filed with IRS for the year 2010

Your amount can be the same as it was in 2012 if there is no change in salary/income.
