Waiting for NVC case number

Finallllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy............got the email with case # and invoice. I just submitted DS-261 and paid AOS fee. When I called Friday they told me that the case was loaded in the system that morning and wait for 10-20 days for the next process. He did not give me the case number on phone but anyway that wait is over !!!!!! Good luck folks who are still waiting......... Barich - have not seen you here !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jemhoi - thanks everyone for the positivity.................Any suggestions for the next step blog will be appreciated..

I called NVC earlier and they confirmed that my case has been received and need to wait for another 30days for the IIN and case #

Did you email them asking for Case No?? Or do they email you once the case no is available??

nvc received my case today and ask me to wait 10 to 20 days for case number ,any advice folks for the next process ? thanks good luck every ones goofy.gif .

Start calling everyday from tomorrow until you don't get your case number...read up on the NVC process and start gathering documents so that you don't have to wait. good luck

Congrats. I tried logging in to https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx and looks like the case is not completely in the system yet. Will call tomm again.

I called them and they entered my email ID. That time they told me to wait for 10-20 days to get next process guidelines. I got the email with case number and invoice number after two days.

Thanks vkrishn..................what a wait it was. I think it was not the wait that was bothering that much but when I started hearing stories about cases getting lost or misshipped to wrong locations, that was like a torture. Good luck !!!!!!!

"Your case will be identified and forwarded to the National Visa Center (NVC) as quickly as possible. We are unable to provide a specific timeframe for this action, please know that your case will be pulled and routed as soon as is available. Thank you for your patience."
