Finally our case made to NVC on 11th but need more time to get the case number...........what a relief.....!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Billyk congrats! I really feel u! We are hopping to hear from NVC this week, may be tomorrow! Prayf for us! Get ready for next step!

Our NOA2 approval was August 15th, today, I received a reply from NVC that they are going to contact USCIS to find out about our petition. Tomorrow, it will be nine weeks since USCIS approved our I-130.

Thanks Barich - it was a long wait, the call last for 39 minutes and mostly calls I made were 20-25 minutes. Hopefully you will be hearing good news this week and my prayers are with you. Thanks again and good luck!

Did you call or receive an email from NVC about your petition arrival at NVC?

Thanks !!!!! I called and for the emails I sent on the 4th and 11th have not gotten any response. Hopefully I will get the case number with those email response. Good luck !!!!!!

Hubby got the e-mail today for the case number and iin assignment! Yey!

Just submitted the ds-261 and hubby will be paying the aos fee hehehe. ;)

We actually don't know when exactly they received our case as I wasn't calling frequently.

Good thing I called because the e-mail was in my husband's spam folder! Coincidentally, the e-mail was only sent today.

The attached letter was dated Oct 15 so I think the case number was assigned on that date..

We just accessed our case online (https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx) and from there you can submit the ds-261 and pay the aos fee..

2013-04-12 : My Priority Date (NOA1)

Here is the other one from NVC......................they received my case on 11th and I called today to find out about case number but NVC needs 10-20 more days to enter the case into the system. They told me that they just have a piece of paper which tells our case is there and it is not enough to work with or enter email etc.

Called up DOS today morning and they told me NVC hasn't received it yet.

Called up NVC today afternoon and they told me they received the case from CSC on Oct 14th but have to wait 15-20 days to get the case number in to the system.

I am glad that NVC received it. Phew!!

We got out NOA2 couple days apart and i pretty much follow your post/progress. I'll also be calling them sometime later tonight to see if they have mine as well

Sure. I don't think people in DOS can see it until NVC enters the case in to the system and generates a case number where as i believe NVC folks can see if they received it or not. Hope you get the case number itself today. :-)

Congrats! How did you contacted nvc for that quick response from them? My case was approved on aug 21 and last oct15 when we call nvc they just receuved our case but we doesnt have thec ase number yet. My PD is april 2, 2013.

Just got my case number and iin a few minutes ago! We have been approved Sept18.. I have been calling DOS and they kept telling me to wait and try again next week.. but my guts was telling me to call NVC and I did.. I was surprised that they have my husband's petition and even assigned a case number and iin as well! Just keep calling guys and you too will have your case number soon!
