Yes indeed, we have to rely on monthly VBs. But as what I have read in here, you'll be fine as long as your priority date is earlier than the cut-off date. smile.png e.g PD posted in VB for October is 09/08/2013 and my PD is 05/24/2012. So my PD is still current and they will still process my case. smile.png As long as the PD will not retrogress for a couple of years, we will still be okay. :)Please correct me if I'm wrong though. I am still new in this immigration process. biggrin.png

i read that also somewhere here or on other site..yes still current i hope it will still be current in coming months and no problem for our cases... we still have another place to wait after nvc ... embassy... i myself sometimes confused im also here to learn good.gif and to help if i can.. but i agree with what u read.. lets just hope that all of us specialy the 2011 will get all their visas cos ive been waiting for almost 1 year now but they are waiting more than us and also we are not gonna worried that in coming months it might retrogress in 2011 if they already done with them..rolleyes.gifenergy.gifenergy.gifenergy.gif May the Good Lord help us allinnocent.gif

Send an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov so that they can look into it.

- Enter your case number in the Subject Line of the e-mail (e.g. the USCIS Case Number if you don't have NVC Case Number).
- Include the applicant's name and date of birth, and the petitioner's name and date of
birth in the body of the e-mail.
- Ask about only one case per e-mail.
- Attach the approval notice (NOA)
Expect to receive an email acknowledgement in about 2 weeks.

That is also what I did. :)

Dear Friends,

I'm reading these post everyday to get familiar with the process. I just replied to my i130 RFE and hoping to get the approval soon. I'm worried about the PD retrogression as my PD is 02/19/13. I read many places that if the case is assigned with Visa number then retrogression will not have an impact & case will flow through. Is that true?

The next question is, at what stage this visa number(Not NVC case no) will be assigned? AOS/DS260/IV/at the Embassy?

When NVC gives you an interview letter, that's the time a visa number becomes available for you.

A visa will be issued to you depending on the outcome of your embassy interview.

Are you F2A category? or F2B?

Thank you apple21. So I guess NVC issue visa number after case completion?

My Category is F2A.

Not until the interview letter is sent to you.

I have been case complete since Sept 30 but I don't have an interview letter yet, so no visa number for me.

This is so frustrating. I have all the docs ready for NVC and need NVC to give me the case number. I wouldn't mind taking the case myself from CSC to NVC all expenses paid by myself. I know its been only two weeks since NOA2 but just want to get the process going. :-(

I recently have had my I130 approved NOA2 Sep 30,2013.

I have 2 options for sponsor

A) Income of over 120K per year but only 15-20k in the bank due to a recent investment in India

B) Income of about 70k per year and has about 50k in the bank.

Which one is a better pic? Option B is my sister and Option A is her husband.

Please help. Thank you.
