Hey guys! Need your help! Just got our RFE thru mai and surprisingly this is what they're asking! I follow the sample letter here in VJ, so how come mine is incorrect?

How should i write it then?

Do i need to write it in my language and have it translated? By the way I am from the Philippines.

Does the date in the letter have to be close to the filing date?

Thanks guys!

What is the RFE about?

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

I sent a letter with my original package and also got the same RFE, I'm guessing they want something more current. After we sent the new letters we were approved a week later. (In English).

Hi! Its about the letter of intent to marry that i made prior to submitting our 129f. Here is how i did it.

Dear sir/madam,

I, xxxxxx, is legally able and willing to marry xxxxxx (petitioner). I intend to do so within 90days of my

arrival in the US using the K-1 visa.

Yours truly,

Signature

Xxxxxxx(my name)

Is this correct? And there are asking again for a new

letter as our RFE. How should i write it then?

Does it mean the date on the letter should be closer to the filing date? Cause i made my letter prior to submitting our k1 packet dated july 18, 11 days before my fiance submitted the packet.

Agree. Difficult to answer your question unless we know exactly what the RFE letter says.

Are the letters originals? Did both the beneficiary and the petitioner fill one out? Are they in English? There is no form the letters have to take, as long as they are signed, dated, and acknowledge an intent for the beneficiary and petitioner to marry each other within the 90 days after arriving at a point of entry to the US.

Here is what it says and i quote " Intent to Marry: The beneficiary, xxxxxx must provide an original statement (signed and dated) indicating that she plans to marry the petitioner within 90days of the beneficiary's admission to the US."

Yes we signed and dated it. And its also in english. But the date is not close to the filing date. My original letter is dated july18, but my fiance submitted our packet 11days after.

The date is not a problem. Did both of you fill out a separate letter of intent?

Were the ones you submitted both originals?
