ShekouJay... good luck to you. Hope you don't have this back and forth. I am assuming you DCF'ed the I-130, so don't be surprised if they don't ask you to pay a fee. I would insist it... find a way to pay it. The ustraveldocs.com website never said we had to pay fees and neither did the consular staff.

Hope you get the P4 soon!

thanks for the encouragement. the big concern is whether the P3 documents ever actually got to the consulate through CITIC. We can only speculate based on the CEAC status adjustment. I did see another recent timeline with 8 weeks between P3 and P4 at GUZ, but that contrasts greatly with, the 7-14 days it was taking in the first half of the year. It's hard to get any fair expectation on timing based on what's been going on at Guangzhou recently and the black hole that CGI has established. Still waiting for email reply from the consulate now 13 days since original inquiry. Hope they are all back from summer holiday after Labor Day !

shekoujay... good luck hope it happens quickly. It's irritating that there is this black hole and anything seems possible. Hope their new CGI Stanley system is fixed soon.

My wife just left for the airport. Flying to GZ today, flying back to Kunming tomorrow evening. I am going to watch "Brazil" and revel in the irony.

The journey to pay a fee has been completed... 36 hours and about 3000 RMB to pay a 1426 RMB fee. 不可思议!!!

Wish ya'all the best of luck!

Nice! 1574 RMB is a small price to pay for a story you can tell the rest of your life :-)

Enjoy the Trip home.

Finally got the P4 email this morning (53 days). And scheduled the interview on CGI Stanley website. It seems the interview problems have been fixed. There were a couple hundred slots available. But we still have no payment invoice. Will chase that down so we don't end up having to go to Guangzhou twice !

@shekoujay - good to hear it! My wife's visa was issued and printed in September 10th, but has not arrived at CITIC bank... atleast the CGI stanley website did not update us... hard to know how long it should take for them to mail something to Kunming.

Best of luck to you... everything will go smooth for sure!

So happy to hear that they fixed the interview appointments nightmare. It only took them 2+ months!
