I 134 Question

Ok so I think I saw this somewhere but for the life of me cant find it again. Does my fiance need the original signed I 134 and all original supporting documents? Or can I scan them to our shared cloud for him to print out? Many of the copies he needs from K1 petition we are doing this way so I only have to ship the originals. Trying to keep it as light as possible. lol save some pennies.

Yes your fiance need the original I-134, not scan or photocopy, for the k1 interview with the US Embassy.

Letter from your employer should also be an original... You can scan bank statements, stock account statements and anything that doesn't have a signature on it... The instructions for I-134 don't say anything about paystubs and tax returns and I know everybody brings it to the interview anyway... I didn't. I brought only the forms that are written in the instructions for the I-134 form.

But what we did, my fiance went to his bank and had them print out a page that said what accounts he has opened with them and the date of opnening the account and then the lady in the bank signed it for him. So I also I had that with me as an original.

This is what the K1 visa instructions say:

Do the Same Income Requirements Apply to Form I-134 as Apply to Form I-864?

No. The 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline minimum income requirement, the most recent year's tax return, and other requirements only apply when Form I-864 is needed. Applicants presenting Form I-134 will need to show that their U.S. sponsor's income is 100 percent of the federal poverty guideline.

Original I-134 n plus all supporting Docs. all other paper may be good as scanned copy...Best of Luck

Thank you everyone. I thought I had it all down and now that we are waiting for the interview, it has all just flown right out of my head. lol It really threw us off because we werent expecting our NOA2 for another 6 weeks or so. Now we are trying to get it all finalized.
