Help my pictures were returned!!!

Hello to all,

My husband and I filled I-130 from abroad (we are currently living in Brazil), to Chicago Lockbox. We received our NOA1 and after 2 weeks we received in the mail the photo album that was in our package, with a note saying that the album didn´t fit in the package..

What should we do? If we put the pictures in a thinner album and send it to them will it get added to our package?

I am very worried, because I am afraid we will end up being requested additional evidence later in the process and end up taking longer....

You sent a whole photo album book???

Just forget it. Pictures are not a requirement. You sent in way too many: at most I'd send 5 photos. Too late now, anyway.

When we filed our I-130 petition I also send the whole album (Total pictures: over 30+) and everything went fine. Album was never returned. I dont know what shall I say here. I hope everything will go fine in your case,I guess if you have submitted other documents to prove strong relationship then you should be okay.

I don't think sending photos again will help you, but its worth a try.

I have an immigration lawyer and I filed an I-130 petition for my wife in the Philippines.

My lawyer said for me to send him 20 pictures of our wedding and pics with her family

and of us out and about and told me to place them in a zip lock bag along with 2

2x2 passport style photos of each of us. My pics were only 20 total that I sent and

they were accepted. without photos you risk possibility of being denied.

Sending anything to USCIS unsolicited at this juncture is usually nothing more than an exercise in utility as it is highly unlikely it would be matched with the file.

Wait until you send in the DS-230 package and you can add more evidence at that point if you so choose. I agree with Ryan. Anything else sent at this point that is NOT asked for is a waste of time.

Also try to make sure whatever you send fits inside a legal sized folder. Like this:

i submitted photos in a ziplock bag.

each photo had our names and biodata.

i attached the ziplock via springy-clamps to a heavier sheet of pasteboard that had our names and biodata and 'PHOTOS' on it.

Please. They're not even mentioned specifically in the official instruction in the USCIS site. They fall into "any other relevant documentation" section. I think you are creating unnecessary pressure on the OP with this comment. Strictly speaking, lack of pretty much anything considered relevant by the immigration officer can result in an RFE. But being denied?..

I didnt send them any marriage pics - I am in last stages of NVC processing now

thank you all for the answers!! I will send some pictures with a letter and case number.. I dont think it would hurt and the worse that can happen already did happen which is us not having any pictures in our file... I hope it works!

You can always send some with the IV package at the NVC stage.
