NOA2 received,NVC says 8wks!!??

We received our NOA2 approval for the K1 fiancé visa we submitted,approval dated 8/15,envelope stamped postage 8/16...fine print on form says it has been forwarded to consulate in PH.Called the 0700 #@NVC today(8/27) to try to get a case #,women replied it will take about 8wks for them to receive it...from what we have read here on VJ, NVC should get it in a week-10days then forward it to Manila.We're trying to get our "expectations" in line with "reality" of when we might get a case # to be able to schedule the interview.

Also,can we begin the forms needed at interview now(134 for both fiancé and child,156,157) and print,sign,date as interview arrives or are these "date sensitive".

Really would like some feedback on the "8wks until NVC receives it..." quote from service rep today.

They told us the same when we call at 11pm every night....but today we called them at 5 pm....the woman gave our manila case # right away......... Yehey

Hi Guys thank u for ur reply and congrats hehehe..well yea we called the NVC again and told us the same plus said 10 more days for them to get in to their system..so still no case number.. anyway how about u guys how many days u have waited fr NOA2 till u finally got ur case number?

Mine was 3 weeks wait. After the case umber things,move quickly to your consulate. I am at the stage just doing medical next week and currently waiting for interview date.

Going into week 6 here. Getting frustrating now.
