It could be a huge problem though it might not seem like it should be. You were approved without the "Jr.", and security checks run with the "Jr." so it's likely you could have your approval sent back for verification, OR you could be put in AP while they run more background checks. If there is a Junior that means there's probably a Senior so you MUST get this fixed. It could look like you submitted the form under someone elses name.

Given that form is "the" main form, personally I would email the embassy and advise them of the error and ask what steps you need to take to get it corrected. Normally you would take the corrected form, with signatures to the interview and state that there was an error on the I-129F form. They may ask you to mail/email the corrected form.

Please return to advise us what happened and what process you needed to follow.

its only the I-129f that was on mistake and missed the "Jr." The G-329A is correct that was sent with the packet together with his W2 and ITR and even the Birth certificate.... So if they would check it clearly the rest of the paperwork that was sent together with the wrong I-129f has the correct information. Isn't this enough to be reference of the correct details for the petition..If those forms are not used as back ups or reference to check status of petitioner then what are those forms for when they ask for it to be sent together with I-129f?

Also, we called NVC to get this corrected but they had already shipped it when we got them on the phone. The rep told us to get this corrected during the interview. If this will be put on AP what other forms will they ask to verify the correct name of the petitioner when we have strong reference sent with the packet? If this will be placed on AP, i guess we dont have to send any form anymore not unless they will ask for school records of my fiance, insurance froms and other legal files that could consist of his correct name.. lol

For those people who will be reading this and happens to have gone into this, please share your experience. Thank you all...

Had your father passed away before filing the I-129F? If so, then JR. is not really needed IF*, it becomes a personal choice whether to use it or not.

Do you use JR. in identification and documents (*driver's license, deeds, credit ) now?

Actually this can be incorrect. Some people are actually NAMED Junior as opposed to just being the second one with that name.

For example, my brother has the same first name as my dad, he *could* be called Junior but it's not an official name (not on his birth certificate). Because of that, he can be called junior, or not, but legally he isn't. The OP on the other hand indicates Junior is part of their name, in which case the death of the father doesn't allow them to just "drop" that name.

Sure give that a shot but as the link says " If you would like to update the Embassy on life changes that occur while you are waiting for your petition to be current," and this isn't a life change. Hopefully it is that simple though...

I agree, if its on his birth certificate as Junior it a forever thing. But that is rarely case with the "junior" .... not sure if it is with the OP.

First name and middle name need to be the same for the "official" junior or II . There is a run of same first names in my family, my uncle was the only official junior because he shared the same first and middle name as my grandpa, but my uncle when on to name his boy with the same first name as him but different middle name... thus no junior or II, then two generation after that its still going strong . A "junior" with a different middle name is sort of an honorary title, sort of like Colonel Sanders... ;)
