London Courier delivery question

So I paid for the MRV and picked a location to pick up the passport from a DX office. Now all I'm reading is that they deliver to your house? I know they were giving that option, which was $30, to be delivered to your house, but if I opted out of it... is that still OK? Can/should I change it to house delivery instead? What do people recommend?

I'm thinking of calling the embassy people who deal with the couriers (0871 156 6666) but it's an extortion to call, if anyone can give me any help it would be much appreciated... my interview is in 2 weeks Thursday.

If you opted to pick it up, you can pick it up. No big deal. Most will be wanting theirs delivered because they likely don't live all that close to a depot. :)

In fact, it seems like a couple of people have been having trouble with home delivery, so picking it up seems somewhat more assured.

Can I just ask how long it took from interview approval to picking up your passport?

I decided to do the same thing as I live in a town with a depot but I haven't received notification that my passport is at the depot yet or any tracking number. I'm guessing i will be notified by email? I was so excited being approved that I didn't really take in the how to pick up my passport bit lol!

I don't know how they contact you...I believe it says on the website when you sign up that they will contact you by either email or text, but can't remember what my fiance told me now, but either way, as a secondary option, be sure to keep checking the CEAC website here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx Your status should switch to issued just before the embassy sends your visa packet to the courier. This should give you a close idea to when it should be available, just in case their messaging system isn't quite up to par at the courier

June 10, 2013 - RFE arrived in the mail
