Hi All,

We received txt/email that our petetion was approved on 07/25/2013 from USCIS with the following:

On July 25, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

Below are the actions we took:

1. We contacted DoS, they gave us our case number after 1 week of receiving the email.

2. We contacted NVC with the case number, and they advised that our case was processed and transferred to the local consulate on 08/07/2013.

3. We received a letter in the mail from NC with our case number stating that our case was transferred.

4. Being in touch with the consulate via email, we received our packet 3 on 08/14/2013 via email, and responded on 08/16/2013.

On 08/23/2013,we received a txt/email from USCIS with the following:

On August 23, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Just wondering if this is normal. Why are we NOW getting our NOA2 a month after??

Yeah...I found it very strange. I did call USCIS 10 days after receiving the first email, and the individual on the phone advised that it can take up to 30 days to get the NOA2. And one day I randomly received the text/email. Very odd.

I'm not stressing it though as the case is already at the local consulate, and were waiting on packet 4 to get our interview date :). I have all the NOA's received from USCIS (NOA1, and the Transferred from VCS). and also the NVC approved/transferred to locale consulate letter which I plan to bring to the interview along with the NOA2 once received.

I have the same situation. Five weeks since approval and case still at TSC. MY NOTICE ALSO SAID SENT TO CONSULATE but that is a lie. I suspect your case and mine are still sitting on the desk of the lazy person who processed them and did not get sent to the mail station, and oone is willing to go check. So they will sit there until the approved petition expires. I contacted ombudsman, congressman, NVC RESEARCH, TSC, NSC. DOS. and no one is doing a damn thing.

Not sure i have the same problem as you.....I confirmed our case have been transferred to the local consulate, we got packet 3 via email, and they advised that our case is now in the cue to be scheduled for an interview.

Our case has been moving along, but I found it strange that we didn't get the NOA2 when we got the first email back in 07/25/2013
