My fiancee has been calling this number I gave her to find out if our case has reached the consulate and she keeps getting the automated machine. She's not getting a hold of any person. Any idea if this is right? Is she calling the right number?

Yes, its very difficult to get ahold of a person at Mumbai Consulate. My fiance been trying for a long time and we can never get hold of a person. I did once but it was a very bad experience. Try this support-india@ustraveldocs.com. We had more luck going though this then with calling them. You can also go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in. Go to contact us and at the bottom of the page, there is an India flag, if it says online you can actualy talk to a person and they can help you. Wish you luck!

hi

i thought the same, but all u need to do is select any of the options they give u.."like iv,non iv.." and then u will hear towards the end abt the option to talk to a rep. concerned.

good luck.
