how long is it taking for the NVC number

We applied to VSC around mid-April, at the end of June we were transferred to TSC and by mid-July we got the approval, a week later we received the hard copy. Now on Aug 13th we got an e-mail saying they mailed the file to the DoS. My fiance has been calling and the first time they told him, the NVC didn't grant Invoice numbers or whatever, and I had to showed him that they were necessary for getting an appointment, since then we had e-.mailed them and he has been calling constantly, now he doesn't even get someone to help him, it's always busy. My question here is; how long does it takes for them to give you a number? and how much hope do I have for them to send me the invitation letter? -I'm in Mexico

mine took me 12days, max 15days keep calling them

Ask your fiance to call USCIS number, we obtain our numbers throught them they gave us the numbers and we start all the plans for my Juarez visit. If NVC already sent your paperwork to the Embassy they can help you.

Our invitation letter arrived a week after we made the appointment to my US fiance and days after my interview to my mexican address

thanks so much for the help, i just texted him asking if he has called today, he said yes and he will again after lunch, now imho this even worst than waiting for our case to be revised, I mean you know that it's approved but u cannot continue with the process because its been held hostage at NVC haha

The NVC does not send you the invitation letter, CDJ does.

i called like 3 minutes ago they told me they sent the papers on Aug 23, and they gave me my NCV number which I tried to use at the DS206 but It said the information didn't match so back to call the consulate and see when I will get my package
