Zimmerman could not recoup attorney fees under the law, but he could seek costs related to the trial such as expenditures for expert witnesses and an animated video that defense attorneys showed jurors, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The costs could range between $200,000 and $300,000, the paper said.

Based on how weak the case was against GZ, he should be able to get full reimbursement of attorney's fees and also sue for lost wages.

Maybe 300K will be enough for GZ to diappear for a long while and keep himself out of the headlines.

It's ok to take money from the gov't when you're championing a cause for guns and Murica. It's not ok to take money from the gov't when your homeless and don't know where your next meal is coming from.
