hard copy takes a week or so often a little more

some folks get email updates... I never did and yes I signed up for them

only found out by seeing my case online for the first time

eventually you will get notified by hard copy but best advice is to call them regularly to save yourself one week per step of the process

Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our NOA2 from CSC was7th AUG. File sent out to NVC on 4gh SEP, logged in NVC system on 12th SEP and got local case #, and finally sent out to consulate on today 13th SEP.

Fiance registered with E-mail notification but never received anything from CSC or NVC.

Once we got local case # (Tokyo number) by calling DoS, we were able to check the status with CEAC site.

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

It shows "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center." but the interview date part is negligible.

From NVC to consulate, we'll use DHL site:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/302190-dhl-tracking-from-nvc-to-us-embassy/

Hope everyone's file here go through a swift journey. We are almost there good.gifstar_smile.gif

Thank you! This really helps as your file was at CSC and you signed up for the alert notifications. We are not impatient and were very excited our NOA2 was approved so quickly. There always has to be a lag in one of the processes. :D

Congratulations on the last half of your journey!!
