discrepancy in birth certificate

Not sure if any one has run in to this before, but I thought I'd ask. I'm a u.s citizen born in Israel. I am abroad right now and there is not an Israeli consulate or embassy in my area that can translate my birth certificate. So instead, I found a supposedly reliable company that can provide this service (has good reviews, etc etc).

The certified translation comes back and my name, along with my parents' name does not match what is on our passports. I'm guessing that when we immigrated to the U.S, when we translated our names to English, it came out different than an 'official' hebrew translation.

I told the company about that, and obviously, they are not allowed to change anything that deviates from the birth certificate.

Everyhing else is correct: birth date, city, etc etc

Will this cause any problems in our process? I have a I130 submitted and I"m just gathering it in case I need it for future steps in our process.

Yes it could be an issue- we had people here having trouble because in one place, the name was Steven and in the other Stephen. However, you may be able to argue that a) the USCIS officer when you originally arrived made an error in the way they wrote your name or b) You chose to change your name to a US/ English one on purpose when you moved to the USA. IN either case, I think you need to confront this head on by sending in a cover letter to explain.
