Hello,

My soon to be mother-in-law failed a 3rd interview for her B2 Tourist Visa today. The reason provided this time is: "She does not meet the conditions for Chinese citizens".

I can't find anything on the internet about this. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any input provided.

It sounds like a similar reason for most denials. Inability to meet strongest ties rule. That means like many she couldn't prove she MUST return.

well, the list used to be over at the USA Embassy/BeiJing website - I'll look now and post the url.

The format has changed a bit, but please read over at

I am guessing she could not pass the 'showing strong ties to China' bits at the interview.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Why was she refused on the previous occasions?

What changed?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
