I recently arrived into the USA with my K1 visa.

I know there are guides available regarding the process. I just want to confirm that my next step is to apply for an SSN.

Thank you!

Yes, you can apply for the SSN before getting married or starting the AOS process. http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn

Many states will only let you get a drivers license or state ID if you already have your EAD or green card. Some will let you with just an I-94, so you would need to find out the requirements for your state to know for sure. I would say the next step after the SSN, or before it even, would be to get the marriage license and worry about the wedding. Then, being added to your spouse's accounts and filing for AOS.
