Wow!

Thank you so much for responding. Im off to check on the url you left me too. Yes hubby and I have done many things back to front lol. Hindsight is a wonderful thing (not).

We married in Christchurch NZ 2008, I went back to the states and had to come back to NZ. Hubby is still in Ohio. The time apart has been horrible, but hopefully we can get back on track and reunite again.

Thank you again for taking the time to reply to my post- I wish you guys mountains of love and oceans of happiness always! rose.gif

Ah yes, the lady told me exactly the same thing - to take it with me to the interview and POE smile.png

I'm sure your Packet 3 documents will be fine! biggrin.png

Yea, interesting to know that they only conduct interviews Tuesday and Thursdays smile.png

Funny, today I also sent in the second lot of Packet 3 documents to the Embassy as well - what a coincidence! So hopefully they receive all 3 of our Packet 3's tomorrow! laughing.gif

Thanks! I got packet 4 today!!! So excited!!! so glad the documents didn't get lost. My interview is next Thursday 19 September at 9:30 am. I requested a thursday interview when I sent in packet 3, so they were very helpful :). You and Stella_w will most likely get yours today, or in the next few days as well!

You're very welcome :) People from this site has helped me and my fiance in this process so much, so I'm glad I can be of help sometimes too. Having to be apart really is awful, but this is most likely the worst part, and it can only get better and is definitely worth it!

My fiance and I pretty much used this site for everything, so not hiring an attorney means that we saved money too. You might have found the guide already, but it's here: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1 It is pretty detailed and has lots of tips.

Thank you for the kind wishes. All the best to you and your hubby on this journey! You will get through and share many many happy years! :)

Thanks! It was! The packet was dated Sept 10, so they only sent it yesterday, and it got here before lunchtime today. Now off to compiling proof of relationship evidence. I think most Auckland reviews say that they were never asked for them, but just in case.

Glad to hear you got your interview appointment scheduled too! And yes, we'll most likely bump into each other, I'm guessing the 10am is the next slot to the 9:30am. Happy photocopying and printing evidence! :) So basically, we only bring our passport, $313 in cash (I think that's the amount on the letter), the interview letter, and the evidence of relationship right?

Oh, just a note, make sure to eat a big breakfast or bring snacks and water, I read that other people waited 3 hours for their interviews. But otherwise, good luck to us!! so excited! biggrin.png

Haha, thanks for the tip.. I'll be sure to have a big breakfast! Are we allowed to bring snacks and water in with us? Thanks and good luck to you too! happy.png

Oh yes, can't forget the xray. Thanks!

I think small snacks and a water bottle would be okay. We just can't bring electronics I think they ask us to leave our bags at security, there's a little locker. I'm trying to recall this from when I applied for an H1b. I think then, they let me bring my folder of supporting evidence, passport and wallet.

Hi and welcome! Great to hear that your approved Petition has been received by NVC - you should receive your Packet 3 very soon!

As for your question, you might want to get your fiancé to send his Affidavit of Support as soon as he can, since you will need to submit that as part of Packet 3. After submitting that (amongst other documents), the Embassy will then be able to set an interview time for you.

All the best!
