Following up on NOA2, and scheduling interview...

Okay, so apparently my K-1 Packet arrived at the NVC on August 15th, and it has been sent to the Vancouver consulate. I have not received packet 3 yet, but I have access to it online. I have a VAC number, and I'm wondering a few things:

Can I fax off the forms they ask for in Packet 3, even though they haven't sent it to me yet? I kind of want to get a move on in scheduling the interview.

I have all of the forms that Packet 3 asks for, for the most part, but I'm wondering what kind of evidence of our continuing relationship I should produce? Up until two weeks ago, we've spent the last two years in one-another's physical company, so we don't exactly have pages and pages of chat logs. We do, however, have pictures, and I have credit card statements showing purchases in her town, and passport stamps and such and so forth.

Other than that, I have my Police Certificate, my Long-Form Birth Certificate, my vaccination records, and my passport. I have a letter from her outlining her intent to marry me as well.

I assume the forms for Canadians is same for Philippines. But be sure to look at the list on the US Embassy website in Vancouver. You will probably NOT receive a packet, only a hardcopy letter which does not say much more than your NOAA 2 with Case Number.

The forms are probably the same everywhere: I-156, I-156K, and I-157, Please look at the Embassy website. You can download those forms from the website or US State Dept website.

If you ever have a question about requirements DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT EMBASSY BY PHONE. They are very helpful. They will tell you which are the correct documents and how to complete the forms. There are instructions that can be downloaded also, read those carefully.

I was born in Victoria, BC, Canada, 1953!!!!, became US Citizen age 7. Now I am waiting for my Filipina fiancée to arrive in California tomorrow night, Monday. Wow finally together.

I wish you both the best always.

Niall

I forgot to mention the I-134 which is Evidence of Financial support for your fiancée when in the USA. That needs to be signed and sent to your fiancée in Canada it cannot be a copy or fax I believe. Please check instructions on that also. They Embassy staff will ask for and take your last years IRS Tax forms, W2, and letter of employment.

Again, I will say this is our experience. Always use the list from the Embassy and ask them directly for all requirements.

Take care,

I'm the benificiary, not the petitioner, so my fiance is sending me the I-134 stuff. Thanks for the advice too, I'll call the consulate tomorrow!

Generally, the evidence phase is done with the I-129, we were just asked for another letter of intent to marry, so I wouldn't worry too much about evidence at Vancouver. Once you have everything on the checklist ready, then fax over your DS-230 and the checklist. From the sounds of it, you are still waiting for the I-134.

I just had my interview today. They didn't even ask for any evidence of our relationship.

Im sure you probably have gotten your packet 3 by now. But if not, feel free to fax off your packet 3 , as long as you know it is at the consulate, you do not need to wait for packet 3 to come in the mail.

How did you get access to your packet 3 online? Right now I'm in the same process except with Montreal instead of Vancouver, how long did it take you before you had access to your packet?
