i just received another e-maiL today. it says...

TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On December 6, 2006, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this

I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS.

Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you

receive the notice, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case

status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from

USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS

Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at

***** is this the actuaL green card? or it's just an approvaL notice then i'd stiLL have to wait for the green card after?

Hi, eventually you will received the card production email. As per my timeline below ... i received approval notice and card together in the mailbox, after touches of emails it been sent.

11-17-06 - "K1 APPROVED AOS" no interview

11-27-06 - "K1 - GREENCARD" rcvd.

01-23-07 - K2 GREENCARD rcvd.

08-20-08 - I-751 sent to Texas Service Center, transfer to VSC

08-26-08 - I-751 NOA1 & 1yr. Extension letter

09-18-08 - I-751 NOA2 - Biometrics Appointment Notice

03-11-09 - I-751 transfer from VSC to CSC!

06-24-09 - card production ordered

12-07-09 - "PASSED" Interview & it's my Hubby Bday too!

hi. i already received that emaiL, the one saying that my card has aLready been ordered. that emaiL was the one before this one. so does that mean that the one being sent now is my actuaL green card?

It means you should be receiving your green card within a few days. In our case, we received the green card and the approval notice email the same day.

08/28/2004 Engaged

09/22/2004 I-129F submitted

10/01/2004 I-129F Approved

12/15/2004 K1 Issued

12/30/2004 Arrival in US

02/19/2005 Married

01/30/2006 Conditional Green Card Approved

01/15/2008 Conditions Removed and 10 Year Card Issued

03/28/2009 N-400 mailed to Lockbox

07/17/2009 Interview Denver USCIS office RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL

08/28/2009 Naturalization Ceremony - US District Court - Denver, Colorado[/b][/u]

The green card is exactly as it sounds. It is a card with your name, photo, alien registration number, etc. on it. It is not as green as in past years, but the name sticks.

The card is similar in size to a drivers license.
