A female employee was clerking at the Spirit Shoppe package store in Sunderland, Mass. when a masked man armed with a large knife entered the store and demanded cash. The employee responded to the threat by retrieving a gun, causing the criminal to flee the scene. (The Republican, Springfield, Mass. 08/19/13, The Recorder, Greenfield, Mass. 08/16/13)

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

I think all retail clerks should wield a gun at work, open carry on the hip.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Why is this news?

Every time a gun is used for good, it is posted. When the gun is used for bad, that's when they go silent or make excuses. It's a fun little game.

Why is this news?

They think a few cases of heroics by people wielding guns proves how great guns are. Even when most of those cases (albeit not this one) are about wielding a gun to protect themselves from a gun. Which would really be missing the entire point.

Most retail clerks have the iq of a paper plate, you really want them all walking around with a gun strapped to their hip? I vote no.
