I'm a recent K-1filer (NOA1 on August 12), a filmmaker and have become very obsessed with reading everyone's stories here on Visa Journey. There's drama, tension, happiness and sadness -- all the elements of great storytelling. My fiancé, who is also a filmmaker, and I decided that the visa process would make an interesting documentary subject. Initially we plan on a film project, but I can see it expanding into a TV show.

Our plan is to follow several couples, as they experience all the ups and downs of trying to rejoin each other. As you probably know, to be a part of such a project requires honesty, trust and access to some person details. And it would most likely be a several month process of checking in, getting interviews, having access to big events like your wedding or reunion (or videos and photos you have from previous trips).

If you'd like to be a part of this or have questions, please email me here on VJ and I'll send you my contact info and our filmmaking credentials. We would like to get started as soon as possible. Hossein and I will be a small part of the project ourselves, as I plan to shoot footage here and send it to him in Iran to edit (at least until we get his visa and can edit together).

Thanks for listening, and I hope to talk to you soon!

All the best,

Cheryl
