Hi everybody, i need help to have documents ready for my interview , i have a few questions & i really appreciate your answer/input ,

Some of my original documents like ( bith certificate , police certificate , court record ) i have sent to NVC are expired now, i will get new ones , do i have to translate the new ones ?, im not sure if yes or not ! since the information will be the same as the expired docs already translated ,

If i will need the i-130 & i-864 from my USC sponsor/ spouse , in thoses both forms the signature must be original or just a photocopy ? what about the date? my USC sponsor still have a photocopies of signed and dated forms before submitting everything to NVC

Do my spouse needs to ask for new employement letter ? to have during my interview or just the last one he has /sent to NVC is enough

Thank you for your input

The Paris embassy accepts documents in English and/or French.

I am not sure of your other questions as I am familiar with the K-1 process, but I would say, to be safe, to bring new original documents. But that may be useless as those documents previously submitted should be forwarded from NVC to the embassy. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about the spousal visa process will help you. :)

Answers in bold and red:

Are you interviewing at the Embassy in Paris? Are the documents in French? If yes to both questions, then check with the Embassy for document translation requirements. Some Embassies/Consulates do not require translations if the language of the documents are in the official language of the country.

If i will need the i-130 & i-864 from my USC sponsor/ spouse , in thoses both forms the signature must be original or just a photocopy ? what about the date? my USC sponsor still have a photocopies of signed and dated forms before submitting everything to NVC

The I-130 form itself is not needed for an interview. Have things changed since the I-864 was sent to the NVC? If not, then you won't need that either as it will already be a part of the file. If an updated I-864 needs to be submitted, then an original signature is required.

Do my spouse needs to ask for new employement letter ? to have during my interview or just the last one he has /sent to NVC is enough

If the information has not changed, then the current one is sufficient.

Weird, uh? They want birth/marriage certificates that are less than 3 month old...

That may be explained by the fact that they add a note on your birth certificate once you get married. So maybe they want to check if there was no recent civil event for the applicant.

Ok. Then you should update your profile and timeline.

Profile so we know that you are dealing with the embassy in Morocco, and timeline so that your data are linked to the correct embassy (otherwise french applicants will think that your timeline is for the Paris Embassy, e.g. time for packet 4, interview date).

Plus it will attract VJ members who dealt with the Moroccan Embassy to come and help you. :)
