Quick question, help please

Hello everyone,

I received my GC today and my date of birth (day and month) is incorrect on the card. I was planning on calling them on Monday to let them know so I can get a new card. My question is if anyone has dealt with this issue before and if yeah does it take them a long time to get it fixed and send a new card? Any insights are appreciated.

Don't bother calling them.

File an I-90 and return the original card back to USCIS along with the application. There will be no fee for filing it since it's as a result of a USCIS error.

Expect to wait ~4 - 6 months until your new green card is issued.

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Do you know what supporting documents I need to send out along with I-90? Because my DOB is correct on my conditional green card from two years ago. Can I just send that along with driver's license or do I need to send birth certificate and more to prove my DOB? I am pretty frustrated about the whole deal since this is a mistake from USCIS and now I have to send my 10 year green card back and wait 6 more months for the new one to come in.

The form's instructions state that you must include proof of the correct data, so with your date of birth being incorrect you should submit evidence documenting the correct date, so either a copy of your old, conditional green card (if you still have one) and / or a copy or your birth certificate or passport showing the correct information.
