clear out your cookies and do a hard refresh....

quoted from Ewok's post....

Oh and if the site looks odd (I would do this anyhow) clear your cached files on your browser (somewhere in settings) then do a "Ctrl-F5" (hard refresh) to reload everything on the site (click Ctrl-F5 on any page). Close the browser and then reopen.

If that does not work, clear the cache using the method in this link:

http://support.lexis-nexis.com/lexiscom/re...icleID=wg_cache

Then restart your browser.

Re: slow-loading signatures

I just hit "stop" at the top of my browser. The posts will still load, but all the animations won't. If you use IE, you can go into the advanced tab of tools and prevent animations, videos and all that junk from loading anywhere, not just VJ. I haven't figured out how to do it yet with Firefox.

Also, it's just plain lucky that you can keep up with VJ at work. I am locked out of all sites except wikipedia and dictionary.com---oh, and the company website, of course (to which I have no access because I have no password because I haven't been there long enough to have been given a password).

Sometimes hitting 'stop' seems to do the trick, and other times there's nothing I can do but close the browser altogether and start again - mostly it just seems to freeze up completely, and I have no idea why. I didn't know you could stop animations etc from loading in IE (I use a Mac at home so am a bit clueless about IE and Windows-stuff in general) - I'll give that a try, thank you!

Oh, and yep... being able to get on VJ (and just about any other site, for that matter) at work is a definite bonus - I know I'm luckier than a lot of people in that respect, glitches or no glitches! :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

I've noticed that immediately consecutive posts by the same poster are not combined as they were before.

Ewok - any plans to change this back?

Yes I can. Do you think I should?

I wouldn't want to decide for everyone, but personally I think it is a good feature. I notice many people rely on that when quoting multiple posts.
