Unfortunately we were told at interview that we needed a Police Certificate from Bahrain in which my fiance lived for more than 6 months. If anyone has came upon this any help would be appreciated. We are thinking of sending embassy the two other forms they needed and just a letter stating Bahrain Embassy will not give certificate since she didnt have a CPR card.

You might do some research to get a certificate: Here is an example from Canada.If you live outside Baharain:

You can either:

* return to Bahrain to apply for the police certificate in person

OR

* apply for the Good Conduct Certificate at the nearest Embassy of Bahrain and provide the following.

The required documents are:

* a copy of the passport that you used in Bahrain
* a copy of your old or expired resident visa for Bahrain
* a copy of your current passport (if applying at a Bahrain embassy or consulate)
* a copy of your current valid residence permit (if applying at a Bahrain embassy or consulate)
* 3 matte photographs with a blue background and
* applicable fees.

You will be given a form to take to the police department for fingerprints.

the embassy needs what it needs, if she lived there she must obtain it. If they made an exception for her, they would have to make an exception for everyone. If she has friends and family living in Bahrain she can ask the to help her do the legwork for her.

Why she didnt have a CPR???? Does she had a valid residence permit when she was in Bahrain??

Anyways, here's the link how she can obtain a Bahrain Good Conduct Cert...

I lived in Muscat, Oman for 13 years. I was returned to India for good in 2007. But I got my PCC through one of my friends there in Muscat. I sent my Omani Resident card copy, old passport copy wherein my visa was stamped & entry-exit stamps were there & a photo with blue background as mentioned on Royal Oman Police site. Got it on the same day with minimal charges. If you could find official site for Baharain Police, there must be some information available.
