Oh that's so sad... I'm sorry to hear that.... Congratulations on the birth. I hope all is well now. I understand its a long process I was just having a really bad day.... Thanks for your reply ?

Ps..... Are you all together now? Have a wonderful future together ..... ?

Thank you :)

Not yet! My interview was approved a week ago, so I'm hoping to fly in a couple of weeks.

Luckily, my fiance flew over the very next morning after my son was born and stayed for a couple of days... he then came back a month later and stayed for 3 months which we were fortunate enough to be able to do! He went back home about 3 weeks ago and is missing our baby boy so wanting to get over there quickly!!

I know how difficult the wait is! I can't see you having as long a wait as we did, they seem to be processing a lot faster this year. The average is supposed to be about 5 months and some receive it before then, so hope that you're in that group of people!

I see you're in the UK too, so if you're able to, visit each other whilst you're waiting.

Good luck, I hope everything speeds up for you! :)

Aaaawww that's great news that you will soon be re-united.... We have visited each other 6 times in the last 3 years, if I try again I think I will be refused as I am spending more time there than I am here and it gets very expensive... I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have to wait too long... I haven't had any RFE's yet so I am hoping that's a good sign....

I wish you and your new family all the best for the future, ? here's to a long happy life together. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement... X

3.1.1)...So how does the whole I-129f petition process work and how does my petition get to the consulate/embassy?

A..I-129f petitions are sent to a USCIS Service Center where, once received and processed, a "receipt" Notice of Action (NOA) Form I-797 (often called NOA1) is created and sent to the original petitioner (US Citizen). This NOA1 is your proof that the Service Center has received your petition. At this point the I-129f resides in the mail/storage facility of the Service Center until it is due to be processed by an adjudicator. The time this takes depends on how many petitions are ahead of you and the rate at which they are processed. Typically entire boxes of I-129f's are moved into the adjudication office and distributed amungst adjudicators as they request more to be completed. Each adjudicator is given a stack to process. As they run out another box is brought in. Since each adjudicator may process at different speeds petitions may be adjudicated (to a degree) out of the order on the original NOA1 (I-797).

Just found this might give a little hope to those who have seen petitions around theirs touched but not their own (like myself).... If petitions around yours are being touched it means that yours shouldn't be far behind..... Keep ya chin up!!!! ?
