It's on the NOA2 and also the visa. Trust the one on the NOA2 though. It's "A" for alien and the number starts with A.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

That's Alien# assigned to an immigrant. Your fiancé might not have one if she didn't have any immigration status in US prior to K1 filing. I got mine at the port of entry (on K1 Visa) next to the admission stamp in my passport. In this case just write "None" on the forms.

From her timeline, the OP is at the AOS (from a K-1) stage, so she has a A# number already.

As Harpa said, look at your NOA2 from your I-129F petition.

All K-1 visa holders have an A# already. It is assigned at the I-129F petition stage and can be found on the NOA2 I-129F approval notice near the beneficiary's name. No one adjusting from a K-1 should be putting 'None' for their A#.

I should have looked at the timeline first (I thought it's about initial filing) headbonk.gif . My bad

I left the NOa2 at the Moscow embassy.... is the A# the red number on the Visa.?....

will K1 and K2 have their own A#.??

You need the NOA2 for AOS. You can order a replacement for $300 or so.

No, the red number is the K-1 visa number. The only reliable place to find the A# is above the beneficiary's name on the NOA2. The A# is like an SSN in that it is an assigned number that USCIS uses to locate your immigration file and it is yours for life. You need a copy of the NOA2 for including in the AOS so you need to find a way to get a copy--i.e. see if the Embassy has it and can send it to you, you scanned it in (which is what I do with all items received from the USCIS) and can print out a copy, or you complete the I-824 form--to the tune of $405--and request a new NOA2 be sent to you which costs time and money.

Our A# was only on the NOA2, but now it is on my wife's GC.

Good luck,

Dave

The other questions were answered, so I will answer about the K-2 A#. You will receive the K-2's A# after applying for AOS, so on their AOS forms, leave the A# blank or write None, depending on the form instructions.
