What will you say IF they ask why you haven't seen each other in over a year? Just something to think about...

I have yet to see that listed by anyone as a question they were asked during the interview... hmm.

I guess the answer would vary from person to person, but for sure there are a huge group on here that fall into that category so maybe another POLL !!! What do ya say Crash?!!

I totally get that. It's just when you choose to follow a topic cuz you want and need to know stuff and all those post go to your email inbox you log on and OMG its two pages of you two back and forth.

I am following because i know its important and differs country to country and i want to be able to answer peoples questions. But a newbie comes along and reads this you might have scared the pee right out of them. hehe But its all good. Friendly banter is nice. We are all in this together regardless of what flag we are flyin.

I get ya.

Well...Perhaps I'm a little overdo it now & then but...When we were in the hunt...VJ posters left & right were getting denied, sent to fraud, verbal smack downs from the COs.... so, the culture we came up in was = paranoid is a good thing.

It does seem CO attitudes have relaxed & I think that's why some posters are more ...relaxed.

Bottom line = I think it's a good idea to load up evidence just in case the CO on the other side of that door decides it's time to mess with some1's life & unfortunately...they have the power to do it.

I would rather see a scared newbie get approved and fly through without a RFE vs. see some1's pain extended or made permanent.

As you noticed that only works with ball fields built in corn fields....

I don't know about that...The poll I built today got some votes.

The Poll my wife built got quite a few and still gets votes.

Bill has built some polls in the past which garnered some votes.

I'm sure if you built a poll - it would get votes too. smile.png

(you just can't ask questions like - do you think crashed should get a lifetime site ban....I think that poll was already conducted in the mod forum )

You need to recheck - My wife only voted once.

My poll was about politics = I didn't expect many participants. & I actually got more input than expected. I've seen some polls go completely unanswered. Buscador made a run & fail...& Calypso tried several times to liven things up but to no avail.

Your poll would be a PI visa topic = You will most assuredly garner more interest.

Don't be shy. You keep barking about a poll.. so...take a bite at it.

You know I like to beat a horse dead...so I been chewing on this comment = I suggest you do a search - "fraud prevention unit".

You will find quite a few threads describing the various acts of scrutiny perped by different COs. Almost all involve proving bona fide relationship.

My point = risky presumption to assume = bcoz you are "yet to see" guarantees it doesn't happen.

& COs are commonly asking when's the last time you saw each other.

Topic is still :

Met only once , is this a red flag?

My answer is still - it is not an issue.

Not going to toss Fraud Prevention and other BS into the mix as it's not relevant.

We all know there are people out there that try to use fraudulent documents or scam someone in one way or another.

But to stay with the topic (and not fall down the rabbit hole)... Nope only having met once in person is not an issue at the interview.

The horse isn't just dead, its been ground into dog food already. ;)

SMH is all I got left. no0pb.gif You are most definitely as stubborn as I. headbonk.gif

But 1 more time for the record - I never stated meeting only once is an "issue" or "Zero issue"...I, as other posters prior to my op stated, "could" draw extra scrutiny to verify bona fide relationship. It has and it could. Period.

Enjoyed it though...let's do it again sometime. energy.gif

Working in Angeles City is a red flag. Being Muslim is a red flag. Being late registered is a red flag. Meeting only once is a red flag. Having a child is a red flag. Having an annulled marriage is a red flag. All that means is you will get targeted questions that will approve, disapprove, or send your case to another section for further scrutiny, depending on your answers and the evidence you provide.

I never suggested that it was a red flag. All I said was that the "Why?" is something to think about. Not sure why that would be a problem...

K1 aside, you can best believe his Fiancee and her family are wondering the same thing. Wouldn't you if it were your daughter?

Nope. I am not Filipino, and I don't have an "American dream", I am living it.
