1)Education about racism. Schools need to do a better job teaching kids the true meaning of racism. It's not just a Guilt trip laid on during History class.

2) IMO - The Black community is very tightly knit. Therefore Black leadership is needed to fix the White hate problems & the wanna be a thug mentality.

1.) I can tell you that the white guys that preach hate and intolerance have nothing in common with me outside of their skin. They are not part of my community. And here's the deal, we know there are tons of different groups under the "white people" blanket. I wouldn't make statements classifying us all together anymore than I think we should black people.

2.) This whole black leadership thing. I mean I know there are community action groups and what not as well as religious leaders but I think so many of the "black leaders" we see on TV are only on TV because they said something a news channel wants to air for one reason or the other. I don't think they represent the average moderate black guy.

White people do love them some raps. But this is likely not entirely true. White people round my parts all like country and classic rock but some of them like rap. However, I've never met a black guy that didn't like rap. GRANTED there are many different types of rap with many types of messages. America as a whole is in moral decay.

By whose criteria?

Crime is down. Sexually transmitted diseases are down. Teen pregnancy is down. School shootings, the big boogieman, are even on the decline. Maybe you're judging this based on personal debt? Oh, wait, no, that's been going down recently, too. So what is the evidence for this widespread "moral decay"? Reduced church attendance?

Human beings have always been messed up. Every single generation thinks that the one following it is out of its collective mind, is less moral, does crazier things, is lazier, has sh****er music, etc., etc. Story as old as time itself. But with 24 hour news channels, Facebook, and YouTube, we're just more exposed to the stuff that does happen.

You and I agree except - the white community / leadership should and does have a responsibility to squash race hate. AS a community...not just who ya hang with.

i think maybe the definitions you are using of rap are different..The owner of my last company,who tried to have mandatory bible studies, decreed no rap music at the Christmas party..What he meant was no black music made in the last 40 years .

To him Keith Sweat was rap music.

I agree with your observation & I add this to give a more complete understanding of mine;

French historian Alexis de Tocqueville commented,

"The Americans combine the notions of Christianity and of liberty so intimately in their minds, that it is impossible to make them conceive the one without the other; and with them this conviction does not spring from that barren traditionary faith which seems to vegetate in the soul rather than to live."

& - IMO - America is in moral decline.
