Hi Dee n Jay,

Congratulations. Now the hardest part - waiting...did they give you the tracking number for the package? If so, check it online (http://domex.do/) quite often, as it was the way we found out about the packages for my In-laws had been sent out. The Embassy did not bother to notify us about it...crazy, hopefully it does not happen to you this way.

Best of Luck.

Kel

Thank you! Yes, I have the tracking to domex, and have been doing so once in awhile, since I know that the embassy is notorious for that lol.

Thankyou everyone,I just got off the phone with the DoS,apparently according to their systems i'm case isn't with them and it's still with the US Embassy London and they have no note of it going through "Administrative processing" and anything to do with it needing further checks. She said Summer is their busiest time and it's probably being processed by the embassy in London as they have had no contact of it needing extra checks done to it so she thinks it's all fine. She advised me to keep on sending emails/making calls to the US embassy London asking for updates as they have my file,so hard to get any response from them at the Embassy though. I'm trying to stay positive. :)

The upside is I haven't booked a flight,my wedding is booked for October the 25th and can be easily rearranged,I think i'm just so desperate to be with my Scotty :)

There is a lot of good information in this thread. Thank you everyone!

I have a question, do all visa's go through Administrative Processing before being issued? And then, some require "additional administrative processing?"

I was under the assumption that all visas will say "Administrative Processing" at some point whether it be for 2-3 days before saying "Issued" or for a long time while further processing is required.

Can anyone confirm this?

Our Visa now shows as issued. We have talked to several folks from DoS and confirmed that ALL visas go to Administrative Processing prior to being issued. Some just require additional processing, and in most cases that additional processing is required, you know before you leave the interview.

Yes that's exactly right :) All cases go through some kind of AP and if it's extra checks and will be a longer wait of additional processing then they will tell you at the interview and give you a form on the day,i think it's called a 221 form. :)

Thanks to your post, I think I understand the processing descriptions a little better, so thank you!!

I am in the exact same position. I have been in "Administrative Processing" for a while, even though I was told at the interview that I had been successful!!

Your welcome,it always helps to read other people's experiences and see what the norm usually is. :)

I think having being told you were successful with your interview and notbeing given any notice that they would do more checks before issuing your visa means they are most probably just being slow. How long have you been waiting since your interview? I waited from the 2nd August until yesterday (5th sept) when it was finally issued and that was with the US Embassy in London. I had the help of a family member who works in the US government to help push it through otherwise who knows when i would have got it.
