and some of us do not feel like that...I don't want to force you to be armed, why do you wish to disarm me.

If someone comes in my home on a nice Sunday morning like they did my neighbor, I can't wait on 911.Being armed is not about protecting property cause if I am not home it does not help. it is about protecting my loved ones.

Especially at dinner with your wife, in the bad part of town, where you feel it neccessary to to be armed for your own safety.

we used to live in a not so great neighborhood for about 5 years. Supposedly there were at least 3 gangs based there. My car was egged, stink bombed and broken into and everything of value stolen. My husband's car was actually stolen but was found a few hours later. A guy was actually shot and killed at the end of our street. Even after all that I never felt the need to have a gun, Of course I was always extra cautious and never went outside by myself after dark.. although I probably wouldn't do that in any neighborhood.

I am not sure why we lived there for so long but we finally moved. 2 days before we moved a part was stolen off our car..That just sealed the deal on us moving the heck out of there

There lies your mistake, I do not wish to disarm you, nothing I have ever posted could possibly lead you to that conclusion. You 'feel' that guns make you safer, I know that they do not. You think that's me saying I want to ban you from having a gun in the home, you are wrong. If you want to put your family at greater risk of harm that's your choice and I have no intention of trying to stop you.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Living in the present is a really cool concept, you should try it sometime.

They think everyone is trying to disarm them. Don't take it personally.

I asked a question about where the guns are kept. Hardly claiming to be an expert. But again, your brain works in mysterious ways and comes up with its own stories.

Burglars prefer not to spend more than 60 seconds trying to gain entry. You can look it up. I'm no expert, so that's what I did.

Actually, I'm feeling generous. I'll save you some time.

http://www.alarm.org/HomeSafety/HomeSecurityVacationTips.aspx

Research shows that burglars usually spend no more than 60 seconds breaking into a home. Using locks on windows and doors is one of the most basic ways to increase the break-in time, which may cause burglars to look elsewhere. It is estimated that nearly one-third of all burglars enter through the front door, so install deadbolt locks for added security. Also consider using motion-sensor lights in the dark areas outside of your home, such as your garage or backyard.

Not completely, no. I think there a some parts of it that could use updating to relate to modern times. And for the record, I don't believe it's a piece of old dried up parchment paper as you claimed. I have a long line of family members that fought for that piece of paper, some that died for it.

You can Google for more sources if you don't like mine.

What's the letter you use for judging a source rather than the material again?

Or do those not apply to you?

i actually live in a sub rural area that is considered one of the better parts of town

Criminal thugs can drive

I guess I could succumb to fear and hysteria and move to the North Ga mnts in a gated community.. In Ga pretty much the only places with low crime are the North Ga Mnt counties.

They oddly enough have very low minority populations..I wonder if their is a connection ?

well there in lies your problem..You can't just on a whim decide what parts are important and which are not. We have a process to change it, you know.

There you go with your selective reading skills.
