I tried checking my case status, even though there should be nothing great yet, using the 13 character reference number (starting with EAC) from my biometric appointment letter. But it didn't recognize the case number. However one another that filed after me in August could do so.

My question is did anyone have similar experience like me and if yes, what did you guys do with that. Thanks for your response.

I surprised that no one seems to be having this issue. I will call USCIS @ 800-375-5283 to seek clarification. May be they forgot to enter the case into their system.

Well, when I first applied for the GC 2 years ago, none of my application numbers were showing up online when I checked for status!! Including the application number on the biometric letter.

I called USCIS and told them about it, but they couldn't do anything, and all they said was "it's a bug in our system", which doesn't make sense to me at all.

Anyway, towards the end of the process, right after getting out of the interview, all of a sudden I received numerous text messages and emails within minutes.

I'm a ROC June filer and able to check status now, using the application number on the biometrics letter.

The only benefit is getting text messages or emails when a decision has been made, but really, you'll get the letters just a few days later. No worries.

I know it's easier said than done, but my advice is to not think about it... Just wait for the letters in the mail, and everything will be ok.

I am a pro-active guy - never content with presumption and would like to know why. So I called USCIS and discussed with them. Yes, sometimes the cases are missed from being entered into the online tracking system. They do not have an automatic update from one system to another.

Yes, I am through with it and am not worried. On the other hand I am expecting a quick approval, as I have sent a well loaded application - just confident but not over-confident.
